Alexia Loyanich

Executive Director

alexia.loyanich@cincylibraryfriends.org

Alexia has always loved books, and her connection with the Library runs deep.  She vividly remembers her excitement when she learned to write her name–it meant that she could have her own library card! She looked forward to the annual June Book Sale, especially bag day, when she was encouraged to fill up her bag with whatever she wanted. Now she manages the day-to-day operations of the organization. A former Montessori teacher, Alexia sometimes misses the classroom.  But the joys of interacting with young readers, those children enthusiastically shopping for books, remind her of the value of our organization, and remind her a little of herself.

Becca Q. Barry

Membership Coordinator

rebecca.barry@cincylibraryfriends.org

Becca’s earliest career goal was to be a librarian because libraries have always been her happy place. But Becca took an indirect path to her library destiny.  Born and raised in West Michigan, she met her husband working at the world’s largest movie theater, got a degree in Art History and worked in an amazing art gallery, moved to Cincinnati the same year her daughter was born, and stayed home for 10 years raising her daughter and son and volunteering for many worthy local causes. One of these local causes was the Friends of the Public Library and the Friends’ Warehouse became her new favorite happy place. She’s excited to be the Friends’ Membership Coordinator and to work with all of the members who understand that supporting libraries supports the entire community and everyone in it.

Miranda Lentz

Marketing and Communications Specialist

miranda.lentz@cincylibraryfriends.org

Miranda joined the Friends after graduating from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Communications. She is looking to gain experience in the nonprofit world and support literacy in the Cincinnati area at the same time! While growing up in northwest Ohio, weekly library trips were the highlight of her summers. Miranda’s love of reading gave her an appreciation for the power of the written word and the freedom that goes hand in hand with knowledge.
