Who we are- The Friends Used Book Warehouse is our headquarters of operations and the place to shop for used books while supporting your Library at the same time. We are located in the neighborhood of Hartwell and are a proud community member.

How to shop- Come by anytime during our hours of operation and we will give you a tour! The front area with plastic blue bins is our sorting area making it the only non-shoppable area of the store. Everything else is available for sale! The Warehouse is very well-organized; if you’re looking for anything specific, we’re happy to direct you!

Hours- Mon 2-7, Wed 10-5, Sat 10-7, Sun 10-5

How to Donate- At the Warehouse! Small donations (2-3 bags or boxes) can be made anytime we are open for shopping. Donations can be brought in the front door to the sorting area or checkout table.

If you have a large donation (i.e. a car-full of boxes) or you need assistance unloading, please use our designated drop-off hours, every Wednesday from 10am – 2pm. Donations are accepted from the garage on the Hillsdale St. side of the Warehouse. For donations that are on a larger scale (a dozen boxes or more) please call or email to make an appointment.

If you are able, please pack donations in boxes or bags you do not want back. We can provide you with additional cardboard boxes for donations anytime we are open.

What to Donate- We accept new and used books, cds, dvds, vinyl records, magazines, games and puzzles! We also accept bags and boxes- if you’re able to bring your donations in containers we can keep, we appreciate it and will use them!

Other ways to Donate- At your Library Branch! You can donate your gently used books, CDs, and DVDs, to the Friends at any local Library branch. Just look for the bins marked for donation drop offs in the front of each location! Branch donations are best for a very small number of items.

The Friends is not able to pickup any donations.

Earth Day is April 22nd! Learn more about our incredible planet with books on nature, climate change, and more! Check out our Earth Day display near our front door plus lots more titles in Nature and Science located in our nonfiction area!

Ask about buying a Friends’ gift certificate at checkout for all the book lovers in your life! They can be purchased in any denomination and make a great gift for any occasion and season.

Annual Meeting

The 2024 Annual Meeting for members of the Friends of the Public Library will be held Friday, May 3rd from 10-11a. This meeting will take place at the Corryville Branch of the Public Library located at 2802 Short Vine St., 45219. Members of the Friends are welcome to join us as we review the past year’s reports and finances.
